29 The next day

1. The Wonderful Person
Psalm 49:8 the ransom for a life is costly, no payment is ever enough—
9 so that they should live
on forever and not see decay.
1 John 1:7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that

Corinthians 6:20 you were bought at a price. Therefore
honor God with your bodies.
Hebrews 7:26 Such a high priest truly meets our need—one who is holy,
blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens.
1 Peter 2:23 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when
he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who
judges justly.
Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led
like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before its shearers is
silent,

2. The Glorious Work of the Messiah
Exodus 12:24 “Obey these instructions as a lasting ordinance for you and your
descendants. 25 When you enter the land that
the Lord will give you as he promised, observe this ceremony. 26 And
when your children ask you, ‘What does this ceremony mean to you?’ 27 then
tell them, ‘It is the Passover sacrifice to the Lord, who passed over
the houses of the Israelites in Egypt and spared our homes when he struck down
the Egyptians.’” Then the people bowed down and worshiped. 28 The
Israelites did just what the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron.

Corinthians 5:7 Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may
be a new unleavened batch—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has
been sacrificed.
Luke 1:77
to give
his people the knowledge of salvation
through
the forgiveness of their sins,
78 because of the tender mercy of our God,

and in the shadow of death,
to guide
our feet into the path of peace.”
1 Peter 1:19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without
blemish or defect.
